Art gallery located in Bournemouth, on the South-West of the UK bears the name of its founder Merton Russell-coats. Unusual house with turrets and galleries, built in 1901 in the art Nouveau style, was a gift of sir Russell-coats his wife Annie. Like many wealthy people of that time, Chet Russell-Kotsou traveled extensively around the world, and from their travels, they brought many unusual and interesting things. They passed the house and art and other collections donated to the city even during his life.

The Museum's collections reflect the artistic tastes of the Victorian era. In painting landscapes, genre scenes, paintings on biblical themes. The Museum presents both British and European artists. In addition to paintings, the Museum presents samples of decorative art from around the world, especially interesting Japanese collection in the "hall of the Mikado".

For small children there is a cafe and a Playground, while older kids can take part in "playing detective" to find in the Museum list of objects and paintings.
