In 1950 in Cetinje was established by the Art Museum. Initially, its location served as the city library Cetina. Today, he is a former Government House along with the Historical Museum.

According to recent reports the Museum has about three thousand exhibits, most of which were in his store at the end of the last century. These include historic paintings and sculptures as well as works by modern masters. Many of these masterpieces, including the collection of icons and pictures taken by the Museum as a gift from Svetozar Tempo and his wife, are on permanent exhibition of the Museum.

A valuable instance of the Art Museum is the icon of filarsky of the virgin, which was written by a family of Konopiste of Dmitrievich-Rafailovici, belonged to Kotor school of icon painting.
