The Argun river is a winding mountain river located in the North Caucasus. Leaving the plain, the river runs along the border between szalinski and Grozny districts to the confluence of the river Sunzha. The valley is quite densely populated. Argun, in addition to the Republic of Chechnya, also flows through the territory of Georgia, including, in the northeast region of Khevsureti.
