Whitley Court is located near the city of Worcester, in the heart of England. This ancient manor house is now almost completely destroyed, but in this form it makes a big impression on tourists.
The first brick house in the style of the king James was built on this site in the early seventeenth century. Subsequent owners have extended and completed the house in the beginning of XVIII century in the estate of the Church was decorated in the Baroque style and amazing lists, and in the second half of the eighteenth century when the estate was broken up the Park and formal garden, which had to move to another place in the village of great Whitley. Its heyday the estate reaches the end of the nineteenth century.
In 1920 the estate again changed hands, and its new owner sir Herbert Smith left the house only a small staff of servants. Most of the building has not been used, the house was not being watched so carefully, and when in 1937, a fire broke out, it turned out to be a disaster for the estate. The house was almost completely burned down. The Church and the fountains were not injured, survived and Park. Since 1972 the estate was under restoration. Completely restored one of the two famous fountains, "Perseus and Andromeda". In recent years, have been discovered plans for a formal garden, and are working on its restoration.
Now Whitley Court, which is privately owned, is under the care of the state. Estate for sale, but whoever becomes its new owner, there will be restoration work, and the estate will be open to the public.
