Kamenica lizogubov in the settlement of city type Sednev Chernihiv region is a unique architectural monument, located in a picturesque place on the high Bank of the river of Dreams, on the edge of a splendid Park. This medieval building was erected in 1690 Chernihiv Colonel Yakov Efimovich Lizogub. Perhaps it is here, in 1708 Peter I stopped when I was in Sednev with J. Lizogub.

The architecture of Kamenica is quite simple - this one-story building with large basements. It is made in the style of Ukrainian Baroque. The house consists of four adjacent to each other rooms and passage, located in the middle, which is very typical for a typical Ukrainian "hut".

Originally the house was inhabited and served defensive functions simultaneously. And then it was used as a storeroom after article 19 brothers Ilya and Andrey Lyzogubs conducted reconstruction of the manor house and built a new dwelling house. At the same time, the Lyzogubs added Sednev stony pseudo-Gothic decorative bunk notched a defensive tower located above the porch of the house, and the buttresses, which gave the building a romantic view.

Inside buildings, you can see the impressively high ceilings of living rooms, which have two floors - the main and basement. They are almost identical, their only difference is in the presence of a hiding place under the porch of the basement. This secluded place is a small room with two niches, where the archive of the family lizogubov. In the lower floor and was also the entrance to the basement.

Kamenica lizogubov in Sednev is the oldest residential building on the Left Bank, visiting which you can admire the magnificent architectural ensemble of buildings and scenic beauty.
