Unique technical monument is located in Czech Darkov Spa, which is adjacent to karviná and is part of it. This is an unusual arched bridge that connects the two banks of a small rivulet of Oldza. Until recently, the bridge was a car, but for some time it can move only cyclists and pedestrians, which made this bridge is extremely popular among guests of the town of Darkov. Because now you can stay right in the middle of the bridge, to gaze thoughtfully at the current river, feed the ducks, not fearing that you will get hit by a car. Thus, arch bridge, whose length is 56 meters, has become a local landmark, where it considers it its duty to celebrate each camper Darkov Spa. Besides from this bridge and begins the famous Czech Spa.

The bridge was built in 1925 with innovative for that time engineering solutions. It becomes clear what we are talking about, if you pay attention to the unusual shape of the arches of the bridge.

In 1997, the water in the river Oldza rose to a very high level. In the city there was a flood, which suffered significantly and supports the arch bridge. The city Council decided on a complete renovation of this building. The repair was carried out between 2003 and 2005. The bridge was completely rebuilt, a little raised above the river, so the next time the water in case of flooding does not touch the road surface.

The bridge is made very unusual. Its streamlined shape is so recognizable that the government of the Czech Republic even released a commemorative coin with his image.
