The Minorite Church in Eger in the Central square of the city - the dobó square is recognized as one of the most beautiful Baroque churches not only Hungary but all over Central Europe and is a unique monument of architecture and history of the state. The Church was built in 1773 the order of the Franciscan Minorite and consecrated in honor of St. Anthony of Padua.
The Minorite Church in Eger is a best example of the prevailing architectural style: dynamic facade is decorated with two bell towers, a clock that three times a day to announce the city chime in eleven, fifteen and eighteen hours. In the temple murals of the late sixteenth century, as well as the majestic statue of St. Anthony.
