Christmas manger – the main exhibit Stucco Hall in the Museum of the Empire consist of 113 wooden statues from the 18th century, made by the Genoese sculptor Anton Maria Maragliano for a festive Nativity scene family Berio. I must say that Maragliano, started by a student in the sculpture Studio Arata and improve their technique under the guidance of Maestro Torre, was a prolific and very popular artist. He and his students worked on these wonderful painted oil figures from 1724 to 1741-th years. And for every visitor to be able to appreciate the skill of Maragliano the administration of the Museum organized a special multimedia show with music, bright colors and moving images.
