Above foros, two kilometers from the Baidar gate, on a cliff with a height of 400 m above sea level stands the Church of the ascension of Christ, built in 1892, the Cathedral is built in the Byzantine style with the special technique of wide flat masonry brick and system of internal support, but with numerous domes Russian wooden temples, making the foros Church reminds the Moscow churches of the late eighteenth century.

Only the Church survived three restorations, all three attempts to rebuild the temple experts call failed. Fourth, the restoration was in 2004. It was recreated picturesque decoration inside the temple, restored preserved outside mural, created the mosaic on the facade.
