Cottle is a small town right in the middle of the way between Fremantle and Perth, the birthplace of Australian Prime Minister John Curtin. The house, which he built in 1923, still stands on Jarrad street and is open to the public. Today the city is home to slightly more than 7 thousand people. Your name, the town was named in honor of the brother of captain Charles Fremantle, the Baron Kottke.

Cottle famous for its quiet sandy beaches, small cozy cafes and a leisurely pace of life – enjoy all these tourists come here, tired of the bustling city of Perth and Fremantle port. Most of the city is occupied by residential houses and shopping area stretches along Stirling highway. On Jarrad street Golf course overlooking the Indian ocean.

Photos and pictures of the beach Cottle beach, both published and are in private collections, give a clear idea of the important role played by the beach in the social life of the city. This is one of the most popular places to play beach cricket. Here I like to walk pedestrians and cyclists to ride, and the surfers trying to ride the wave.

A peculiar attraction of Cottle is a lone pylon (leg) sticking out of the ocean waters. Once the pylons were three – they were installed in the late 1920-ies to fix the network for the sharks, after a few of predatory attacks on people. Two pylons in 1937 were destroyed during a heavy storm, and one survived. Under the multi-year action of the ocean waves, it was significantly corroded. In December 2008 the City Council of Kottke decided to refurbish the bar, became a popular place for diving. After the restoration of the pylon painted in the colours of the Club the Coast guard Kottke, then changed the color on color Club Rescue Northern Cottle, and since then he has several times changed its appearance.
