The Church of St. George (Juraj) was built in Roman-Gothic style with a semicircular apse. The Church is located in the South-Western part of the settlement of Tucepi, close to the beach and resort area.

The Church was built on the Foundation of the early Church (V-VI centuries). The first mention of the Church in the registry of the existing parish Church dates back to 1311. The picture of this Church is decorated with the emblem of the city.

Near the Church is a medieval necropolis. It is also a valuable historical monument, because it is considered the earliest necropolis on the territory of the Makarska Riviera. It is believed that it housed the Venetian Doge Peter I, who was killed near this place in a sea battle in September 887.
