Photo: Main square
The main square of the Old town has a triangular shape. Here you can see some interesting buildings.
The town hall was built in the late nineteenth century in the classical style on the dream of a small Renaissance Palace. Fancy building Lighhouse XVII century, decorated with Baroque decor and frescoes of the Renaissance, was used previously as the town hall. At No. 4 is the oldest in the city pharmacy (1534).
In the center of the square there is the fountain of Archduke John, who did much for the development of the city. Four female figures around the fountain represent the four main rivers of Styria.
