Grodno curiosities or as it is called scientifically, Teratological Museum, opened recently in early 2012. The exposition belongs to the Department of human anatomy of the Grodno state medical University. The exhibits gathered during the XX century. Now such a collection to collect almost impossible due to the fact that at the present level of early diagnosis of pregnancy with serious pathologies end in abortions on early terms.

The Kunstkammer building built in the early XVIII century and belongs to the oldest buildings in Grodno. Here once housed the gallery of king Augustus II. According to the Creator of the Museum, associate Professor of human anatomy Yuri Kiselev, the aim of the Museum is a kind of propaganda of healthy lifestyle among youth.

In Grodno the Kunstkammer two halls: the hall of the normal human anatomy and hall paranormal anatomy. In the first room visitors can take a look at a healthy human organs and lungs of a smoker or alcoholic liver and also the liver of the obese person. The second contains exhibits with deviations from normal development of the human embryo. The creators of the Museum claim that the majority of these Siamese twins, two-headed babies, etc. came to light due to the fact that their parents were not a healthy lifestyle.

In this unique Museum guides, which boasts a few other Museum – all the professors and teachers of the University, who will explain from a scientific point of view, why such anomalies can occur with a human embryo and what not to do to avoid the baby was born with developmental disabilities.
