Arnea is a picturesque Greek village in Chalkidiki, about 58 km from Thessaloniki and 37 km from the town of Polygyros (the administrative centre of Halkidiki).

Historical and ethnographic Museum – one of the biggest and most exciting attractions Arnea. The Museum is located in the heart of the city near the State Bank in the old two-story mansion from the 18th century, which formerly belonged to the Konstantinos Katsaggelos. In the summer of 1999 (after the overhaul) Historical and ethnographic Museum opened its doors to the public.

The Museum exhibition will introduce you to the history of the development of culture Arnea and its surroundings, the everyday life of local residents, and will talk in detail about traditional in these parts crafts. In the Museum you can see a variety of household utensils, textiles, furniture, carpentry and other tools, and everything necessary for cooking and coffee brewing (including apparatus for grinding coffee beans). One of the most interesting and valuable exhibits of the Museum is "fire truck", which has more than 200 years, designed on the principle of a piston pump, invented by the famous Greek engineer and mathematician Ctesibius in the 3rd century BC
