Abbey Viboldone is located in the town of San Giuliano Milanese in the province of Milan in Lombardy. Its construction was begun in 1176, the year and was only completed in 1348, the year when the Abbey belonged to the monastic order of humiliation. In those years, in addition to monks dwelt the lay people who worked in the Abbey, weaving a garment of wool and cultivated the surrounding fields with the help of innovative technologies. After the abolition of the order of humiliation by order of Pope Pius V in 1571, the year) Viboldone proceeded to the Benedictine order, who were forced to leave the Abbey in 1773, the year, when Lombardy was part of the Austrian Empire. The interior of the Abbey Viboldone very simple, even severe – there are only a few sets and only the apse is richly decorated with frescoes of the school of Giotto. The room is divided into a Central nave and two lateral chapels with five spans each (first made in the Romanesque style, and the rest in Gothic). On the walls you can see a fresco depicting the Madonna with saints and a huge picture of the last judgment with Jesus in the center and damned, which looks Satan. Other frescoes depicting musical instruments are stored in a Music hall in the building next to the Abbey.
