Hoa Lu – the ancient capital of Vietnam, located near Hanoi. The city has preserved the magnificent temples Dating back to X-XI centuries, which in the seventeenth century were carefully restored.
The temple of Dan Ding is dedicated to the memory of Emperor Dinh Tien Joan, who founded this city in the tenth century. It is a massive building with a beautiful inner sanctuary. The Emperor himself was buried on the mount of Mayenne, the top of which offers magnificent views of the surrounding area.
Nearby is another ancient temple dedicated to Le Let the Han, the former commander of the army of the first Emperor and his successor on the throne.
