Heroic caves, located in the city of Hot Key, is a popular tourist destination. They are a favorite destination for many tourists because about these caves many legends. The uniqueness of Heroic caves is that they were created by human hands in a solid mass of Sandstone. On this basis, there is not one theory about their origin. According to one, the caves were dug in the eighteenth century by people who were threatened with death for various crimes, as Circassian customs immediately after sentencing criminals were allowed to escape from justice, without the right to return to their homes.

But the most popular version is one in which there is a speech about heroes who lived in ancient times in these caves and defending local land. Learn about the authentic origin of the caves is not possible, since studies have not been made. But despite this, Giant caves remain a favorite attraction of the resort.

Tourist route to the caves starts from the railway station "Valley of enchantment", then need to walk about 100 meters towards the city, after a turn onto a small path. After the trail 600 m, you can see the first cave with an extensive system of corridors. The corridors have a length of not more than 6 m, each of them ends in a small closet.

A little to the right of the cave is the second cave. This cave is much smaller and has only two rooms, one of which has a window and a skylight in the ceiling. Due to this clearance you can go to the crest of the ridge. The caves are hewn from Sandstone and inscribed with different slogans.

If you climb up the path, you can get a big Playground, which offers a beautiful panorama of the coming of the river and valley.
It is also worth noting that during the Second world war, these places were used as reference points of Soviet troops. On the mountain stands an obelisk dedicated to the brave soldiers who in 1942 were able to stop the offensive of the fascist army.
