House Kurbatova – the oldest wooden building in the city of Ivanovo. It was built in 1800. You'll be on the street Postysheva, 7.
The house was built by the cabinetmaker and the Carver "manners" (boards with a relief pattern used for stuffing cotton prints) Vasily Yefimovich Kurbatov. He was also engaged in building facade design and architraves. In 1860th years the house was owned by E. Kurbatova.
The house is a residential two-storey log building. It was built of pine logs "in lock". On the facade, from the street covered by planks. In the beginning of XX century was renewed roof. In the depths of the area the building is elongated. It presents a square plan, log house, which faced the street façade in three axes Windows, and attached to it with a smaller yard, cold crate with a narrow plank passageway along the side of the facade. Data log covers a total high gable roof. Roof – plank construction – truss, captured with ten Gables at the ends.
Architectural decoration, which have been influenced by classicism, focuses on the main facade. The building's corners with releases of logs under a tiled roof boards under thin pilasters with semi-columns patch, killed on 3 levels turned balusters. Similar pilasters with balusters used in the window frames – with a straightforward bow-shaped completions in the first floor and a large rectangular shape in the second.
Especially expressive on a simple pediment are beautiful upper trim with teeth and split pediments, which adorns the deaf notched thread (highlights the age of the clypeus) in the form of semicircles with the rays which diverge in hand, such as "the sun" is a symbol of sunrise. In the middle of the pediment is also a rectangular box design, similar to the forms of the lower Windows.
In the lower basement ground floor housed a carpenter's workshop. The upper floor was residential, with a loft and a large Russian stove in the hut. Entrance was made through the canopy in cold crate.
