Castle Old Rybnik (translated from the Czech language – the Old Pond) is located in the homonymous village on a small isthmus between the two ponds, from which he got his name. Those gloomy ruins that we see now, known as the castle difficult, but he had seen better days when high thick walls and a deep moat protected the owners of the castle from invasion from the outside.

The founder and first owner of the castle is a gentleman by the name of RAB. He was not a local, but in 1360 decided to settle down in this village, which is more than 60 years had belonged to his family. From the first building nothing left. The descendants of the Slave rebuilt the existing facility in full, then to the reconstruction studied their condition subsequent owners of the castle. From historical records we know that it was a well-fortified fortress – present family seat, the name of which was mentioned as the second part of the name of its owners.

The castle consisted of several palatial buildings, high towers, where he viewed the surroundings of a prison for the guilty servants and subjects, a small chapel, where they prayed the Lord only.

In 1792 there was a great fire which destroyed almost all the buildings. What remained, was operated by the owners prior to the beginning of the XX century, and then it was abandoned, because it was easier to build a new Palace than to restore the old, and that was done: rises near the ruins of Empire-building that was used as a manor residence.
