Museum of Kholui art was established in 1959 and the main purpose of the gathering was then Kholuy miniature painting. But from the very inception, the Museum's collection has grown into a comprehensive character: the villagers had brought household items, icons, old printed and hand written books, manufactures stitched and embroidered products, paintings Kholui artists. These artifacts became the basis of the Museum collection.

Now the Museum contains more than 700 of the best works of artists of Kholui since the organization of the fishery to the present day. Here you can see a large collection of ancient art, servile stitching embroidery, paintings, drawings, folk arts and crafts on display in temporary exhibitions. Annually up to 10 exhibitions from its own funds and funds from other museums.
