In the Northern part of the old town of Kotor is another building that attracts the attention of not only tourists, but also those who are interested in the history of Orthodoxy is the Church of St. Nicholas. The construction of the Church began in 1902 on the Foundation of the burned buildings, was completed in 1909 - date of completion is depicted on the facade of the building. On the project of the temple was created by renowned architect Corell Ivekovic.

Built in the Byzantine style, with a single nave, with two bell towers on the main facade, the Church is remarkably visible from the city wall, which is closely adjacent to it. Inside the temple premises seems pretty spacious, striking in its richness and beauty of the iconostasis, which finished draw in 1908. The Church of St. Nicholas is famous for its large collection of icons, one of them is the icon of the blessed virgin Mary "three hands", which is especially revered by Serbs. In the Church also houses many Church documents and books, artefacts, vestments, and other valuables that were donated to the Church, mostly rich Kotor families.

St Nicholas Church is the only Orthodox Church of Kotor, in which Church services are held daily. In this Church you can buy unusual candles – they are so thick that they need to be tattooed onto the rod.

In 2009 the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor celebrated its centenary. This date was timed comprehensive restoration of the building - the indigenous inhabitants of Kotor wanted to see the temple in all its grandeur and beauty.
