The Palace Grgurina is located in the old Kotor, North of the famous Cathedral of Saint Tryphon. This is one of the architectural monuments of the old town of Kotor in the late Baroque style.

The building was built in the XVIII century and belonged to a noble family Grgurina, which acquired its status, engaged in Maritime trade. For the construction of the Palace was used by the famous Korsunsky stone, it is also used for the balcony balustrade, brackets for balconies, window and door openings. Symmetrical relative to the middle of the building's main facade is dominated by a stone balcony with a balustrade refers to the architectural style of the Baroque. On the North side of the Palace has a spacious terrace with gazebo, where you can see the family coat of arms family Grgurina – the image of the goat – the symbol of Koper, where the family moved in Kotor.

The interior of the Palace is also made in a Baroque style. Of special interest are restored after the earthquake in 1979, wooden ceilings, floors in the Central hall and hallway, tiled on the diagonal stone slabs of white and red. In one of the rooms on the first floor, original decorative flooring of different kinds of wood.

Since the beginning of the NINETEENTH century and until the end of world war II in the Palace Grgurina housed the municipal government and various military services. Currently the building is the Maritime Museum, representing the visitors collections associated with the Maritime history of the region. Here you can see models of ships, old maps, various navigational instruments, portraits of famous explorers, paintings of seascapes and other valuable artifacts.
