Castle Krasicki in Krasiczyn castle, built in the style of the Renaissance-mannerism at the turn of the sixteenth to seventeenth centuries. The castle is situated on the right Bank of the San river, 10 km South-East of the city of Przemysl, belonged to the Polish magnate Stanislav Krasicki. Currently considering the inclusion of the castle in the UNESCO world heritage list.

In the late fourteenth century, there was a wooden fortification with stone tower. These lands from the family of the mother inherited stanisław Krasicki, who in 1580 began to build in its place a stone castle with stone walls, four corner four-story towers, bastions. A radical restructuring of the castle to the residence was held by his son, Governor Martin Podolsky Krasicki. During the life of the Krasicki restructuring conducted by the Italian architect Galeazzo Appiani. Was expanded the residential part of the building, which was erected gallery. All the loopholes have replaced Windows. Castle walls on the outside and on the courtyard side, decorated in the sgraffito style (with a total area of 7000 sq. m.) with images of saints, Roman emperors, kings, kind Krasicki, hunting scenes. Bastions were rebuilt, which were to symbolize the chain of authority – God, the Church, the monarchy and the aristocracy. The castle was surrounded by an earthen Bastion fortifications with 20 guns.

Martin Krasicki had no heirs, and the castle in 1642, passed to his nephew, Constantine Krasicki, who had large debts and ran the Palace. Since 1724 the castle was owned by General Jan Tarlo. Because of the political views of the General, the castle was plundered and desecrated by Russian troops in 1726. Until the mid-nineteenth century, the castle passed from hand to hand, losing its former grandeur. In 1835 it was bought by Prince Leon Sapieha, who turned it into a family residence. He restored the Park in honor of the birth of sons planted the oaks, and at birth girls Linden. An architect from Vienna Engert had restored rooms of the Palace. The restoration work was suspended the First world war, were then damaged the roof of the castle. From September 1939 to June 1941 the castle was a military unit of the red army.

During this time, was completely destroyed decoration of the premises, removed all the furniture, desecrated chapel and the family crypt. A new restoration of external walls, launched 1963, continues today in state and private funds. The restoration of the old decor and furnishing of the premises was not considered feasible.
