Park Campo de Marte is one of the largest historical parks, located in the city of Lima, Peru. He is considered the "lungs" of the city because of its dense green alleys.

Prospect Peruanitas divides the Park into Eastern and Western sector. Park El Campo de Marte has a length of about 750 meters and a width of 450 meters. Among the major monuments established in the territory of the Park you can see the monument to the defenders of the Fatherland, Mother monument, a monument to Jorge chávez, the monument to Miguel Cervantes.

On the Western side of the Park is a huge monument to the defenders of the Peru-Ecuador war 1941 "Monumento a Los defensores de la frontera", created by sculptor Artemio Ocaña Bejarano granite with 28 bronze human figures. It was installed in 1966.
On the Eastern side of the Park is the monument "El Ojo que Llora" erected to the memory of victims of terrorist violence and state repression during the internal armed conflict in Peru between 1980 and 2000.

In the area where now is located the Park of Campo de Marte, originally housed the exhibition space, and was built after the racetrack Santa Beatriz, who has worked at this place from 1903 to 1938. New Hippodrome of San Felipe was built further South, but the grandstand, the Hippodrome track and field remains. Later the track was paved with asphalt and the grandstand is currently used for spectators watching the annual military parade held on July 29 - the day after independence Day Peru.
