Once in the village of Komasara, which consisted of three villages Demidovo, Churchyard and Art was built by the great Church ensemble. In the 18th century Komosinski the parish numbered about 90 yards and slightly more than 700. The architectural ensemble itself consisted of the assumption Church, the belfry and the Church of Alexander Svirsky and was one of the finest in the County.
Both churches were built on the principle of "octagon on square". Since the 17th century, this principle was widely used in the construction of temples in Russia. Then, following a similar style of construction, the entire Church ensemble was covered with high wooden tents, including a small tower, built in the 30-ies of the nineteenth century near the lake.
Amazing, magnificent picture three tents high could observe the traveler, suitable to Cosmosurf. The composition of the Onega tee is so striking that every time when approaching from different angles gives a feel of the diverse architecture of the temples. Before the spectator's eyes she then merges into a single picture with fabulous incredible shape, it appears singly, clearly demonstrating each building.
Assumption Church, built in 1720, was a warm winter and a much smaller size than the Church of Alexander Svirsky. It was repeatedly restored, removing wood paneling of the nineteenth century. Fully restored traditional façade and the replacement of hipped roof, when it was preserved carved Priceline. Looking at this carving, unwittingly struck by the skilful work of carpenters. No wonder their skills improved, passing from generation to generation. After all, in ancient times, simple but smoothly hewn Board was already decoration for any home, because tried to achieve this effect only with the axe. Later the edges of hewn boards began to decorate with simple patterns. After the advent of tools such as the chisel and auger, the patterns became more complicated. Original ornaments could be obtained, bonding different patterned boards with nails.
The summer Church of Alexander Svirsky, was erected in 1770 by order of the merchant f. Popova from the city of St. Petersburg. The Church building was a log cabin, and the walls are built with shallow felled. The East side was completed annexe five-wall of the altar, which, in turn, was covered batistatou roof. And on the West side attached - spacious dining room and entrance porch to the Church. The whole Western ensemble was covered with split-saddle roof complex and the planked without use of nails design. To enter the Church was from the South and North sides on open platforms with steps. The octagonal part of the building consisted of a bunk belt, lower and remained not completed. The Church roof tent made of planed planks, arranged in three rows of beautiful patterns. In the end on the roof was placed a cross, covered with shingles. Decoration of the altar represented as colored in red boards, with tanned truncated endings – peaks, as well as in the form of facade carved boards that adorned the Windows of the Church.
The parish in those days was called summer Church - swirski. But due to weather conditions served it, from may to September. Till our days there were not the whole Church ensemble. Some of the buildings were lost during the fire of 1942. The remaining part is not only the cultural and historical value, but also architectural belonging to Prionezhsky type tent churches.
