State Museum of nature and ecology of the Republic of Belarus opened in Minsk in February 1992. The Museum is located at St. Charles Marqua, 12. The total exposition area of the Museum is 450 sq. m.
The funds of the Museum are formed in four main areas: flora, Zoology, Geology, poster Fund. The permanent exhibition is located in six rooms of the Museum and talks about the nature and biodiversity of the Belarusian nature.
The exhibition of the Museum tell about the minerals, the development of the organic world, aquatic and semi-aquatic plants, seasonal changes of nature, the behavior of the birds in an urban setting anomalous phenomena in the animal world, associated with changes in environmental conditions.
The Museum holds great educational and outreach on environmental objects: nature reserves, parks, monuments of nature. Adults and children talk about how important it is to preserve mother nature, there are not that many rare animals and plants listed in the Red Book. Some animals, birds, fish and plants were only as Museum exhibits that everyone can be seen in the Museum of nature and ecology of the Republic of Belarus.
Special attention is paid to the younger generation. The Museum organizes educational and informative lectures and excursions about the flora and fauna of his native land, its minerals, "From tales to nature", "Who lives in the forest? ", "Forest trails", "the red book of the Republic of Belarus", "Fauna and flora of water bodies, wetlands, coastal vegetation", "Feathered neighbors on the planet", "Familiar strangers", "minerals". Kids are provided with quizzes, contests, holidays.
