At the end of the eighteenth century a small village Šilheřovice, all adults which quickly sought to leave their native land because of the monotony and boredom, suddenly received a push to the further existence: here began the construction of a luxurious castle in a classic style.
Pany Eichendorff interested in a small settlement, which was located just 13 km from the capital of the region of Ostrava, and decided that the best place for his residence they do not find. Within a few months in the village there was a castle worthy of the most noble gentlemen. It is not surprising that it drew the attention of the Rothschilds themselves. They owned the castle of Šilheřovice from 1844 to 1945. With them, the Palace was rebuilt in psevdobromol style became more presentable and respectable. The Rothschilds took care of the landscaping around the castle territory: they are ordered to break up around the Palace garden in the English style. Designers working on its layout, landed here rare species of trees and plants, so now the Park looks more like a Botanical garden, where people come to look at the wonders of the flora.
For the greater convenience of the owners of the castle in the Park was built a small hunting Lodge. Now it is a trendy restaurant. Near the castle also has a spacious 18-hole championship course, which Golf course. This platform is considered to be one of the biggest in the Czech Republic.
After the Second world war the castle was located in Šilheřovice school and College, preparing miners. In 2008, the castle was renovated and now it is used for holding various celebrations.
