Place Rossetti is the heart of the Old town, the centre of attraction for all tourists entering the intertwining of medieval streets.

The area owes Charles Rossetti de Chateauneuf, the member known in nice family of benefactors. He made the city his only heir, inherited the house in front of the Cathedral Sainte-Réparate, preventing to see the Cathedral in all its glory – on a narrow street it was impossible to withdraw at the right distance. In 1825, after the death of Rossetti, the house was demolished to form the size – not too big, but you can admire the Baroque façade of the main Church of nice. And area, and extending from its street wear is now the name of Rossetti.

This space is really not enough in the heart of Old nice. Here the atmosphere – it creates the beautiful Cathedral with its colorful dome covered with glazed tiles in the Genoese fashion of the seventeenth century, ohranie the facades of the houses with the typical shutters and balconies, stone fountain, tables of restaurants and, of course, the cheerful chatter of the crowd. There is always full of tourists and locals: they know that in Piazza Rossetti sell the best ice cream in town "Pinocchio". It is not only delicious, but also unusual – you can choose tomato, rosemary, lavender, thyme, Basil.

When ice cream is eaten, and the magnificent temple viewed from the inside, it's time to go outside Rossetti. She steps ascends to an even more steep stairs leading to the Castle hill. On top of the breathless tourist will look back and see the spire of the bell tower of the Cathedral Sainte-Réparate on the blue sky background.
