Mound of Glory of Adam Mickiewicz – a unique man-made monument of the XX century. This mound poured himself a people that worships the work of the great poet.

After becoming a part of Poland the town of Novogrudok, the birthplace of the national poet Adam Mickiewicz, a Committee was formed Mickiewicz, who was involved in the study of creativity and the creation of a house Museum.

The first proposed to erect a mound Chairman Mickiewiczova Committee Professor Stanislaw Wojciechowski. He remembered the words of Adam Mickiewicz, who once said, " ... for "pan Tadeusz" should I once nowogrodczynie to erect a monument on the town square in Novogrudok".

The construction of the mound as it was done in ancient times we have to put our part – a handful of earth or stone and stacked on the future site of the mound. Construction began on 27 may 1924 and lasted until June 28, 1931. Day 75-th anniversary of the death of Mickiewicz, after a solemn mass in the Church where I was baptized poet, was the opening of the monument.

At the foot of the Mound of Glory is a memorial stone dedicated to Adam Mickiewicz. On a high mound can be reached by a specially equipped ladder. With its summit offers a magnificent view of the Novogrudok. There is an opinion that it is the highest point of Belarus. At the foot of the hill begins a beautiful Park, equipped with Lounges, benches where you can sit and admire the magnificent scenery.
