The Church of St. Nicholas in the city of Novosibirsk is a functioning Orthodox Church located on the street Zoological.
In December 1997, on the feast of St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, was performed the rite of consecration in the Church of the Annunciation. The first community meeting was held in April 1998 in celebration of Christ's Entry into Jerusalem. Parishioners on their own in the shortest possible time has made in the building of primary repair: repaired a roof, walls and made the floor. In September 1998, the Church was consecrated. In December 1999, a solemn celebration of the patronal feast - on this day the Church a gift was presented to a large icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Now this icon can be seen on the Solea. Parishioners of the Church were local residents, but a lot of people came here from other parts of the city.
In 1998, the temple was opened for children and adult of St. Elijah the Sunday school. In 2005, local artist B. S. Veremchuk cut and donated it to the temple a huge wooden crucifix.
In a relatively short time in the temple were erected two-storey extension to the main building and the refectory. The first floor housed a classroom and the second one more class and a library. In October 2000 over the extension was installed high bell tower. In 2002, work began on the rebuilding of the temple, and at the same time the construction of the main dome.
In January 2003, on the eve of the Epiphany, the consecration and setting crosses on all five Central boards of the Church. In September 2003, above the Royal chapel was installed cupola and lifted up the cross. As a result, the Church building took on the appearance of traditional Russian Church.
