Natural Park Sibal is located in the province of antique on Panay island that is part of the Visayas group of Islands. In the Park area of 5 thousand hectares of preserved one of the last untouched corners of floodplain forests, where you can find rare species of plants and animals on the verge of extinction. Sibal, mountains stretching from Porras to mount Ermatinger, was established in 2000 by the decree of the President of the Philippines.

Still in the Park were not conducted an in-depth study of the local flora and fauna, however, scientists know that the ecosystem of the Park is incredibly diverse biologically. Here is home to 59 species of birds, the survival half of which depends on the condition of floodplain forests, and 8 species are Philippine endemics – Hornbill Walden, Sayan Hornbill, white-winged licenced, degrosky chicken dove and others Among the mammals you can find such rare animals as the Visayas Sika deer and Visayas warthog – both of these species are endangered and only live in the territory of the region of Western Visayas.

In the forests of Sibalom you can also see Philippine dipterocarpaceae trees – white lauan grandiflora and docrinology, and several kinds of fruit trees. Here grows one of the largest flowers in the world – rafflesia, very vulnerable.

In various parts of the Park are thriving in different species of plants and animals. So, for example, on mountain slopes at altitudes from 300 to 800 meters, you can see spotted deer and monkeys, jumping on deciduous trees type narry. In the meadows feed on many species of birds – munias, sparrows, woodpeckers. The vegetation is represented by shrubs type cylindrical imperati.
