The Tuileries gardens lies in the heart of Paris, between the Concorde and the Louvre. It is the largest and oldest Park of the capital in the French style, is a favorite promenade of the Parisians.

Five hundred years ago, outside the walls of the Louvre fortress, was the edge with a public dump. Was mined here clay tiles, hence the name of the place (French clay – tuile).

However, the king was more interested in the Versailles, and the garden gradually fell into some disrepair. In 1871, died in the fire located there, the Tuileries Palace was burned down by the Paris commune, the building had to be dismantled.

Truly the Tuileries was restored only in the late XX century, during the reconstruction of the Louvre. In two identical buildings located in the Western part of the garden houses a modern art Museum with a magnificent collection of impressionist and Orangerie Museum of art of the XIX century. In the Park you can see many marble and bronze statues from different eras. In the Tuileries often hosts exhibitions of sculptures in the open air exhibited works by Rodin, Moore, kragga.
