The monument to parents memorial building. Initially it was built to honour the deceased Princess Friederike of württemberg (sister of the Empress Maria Feodorovna).
Such memorials can often be seen in the landscape parks. They called melancholy, awakened memories and romantic sadness. Therefore, the pavilion leads a lonely path called Philosophical. The road it is a change of feelings, attitudes and sentimental dive into the past. The importance of this path says that the Monument is designed to display only the 1st side of the tracks. It extends past the mourning cast-iron gates, on columns containing a picture drawn wreaths emblems of death and sorrow: vases-Lesnica and damped inverted torches. Gate was designed by Thomas de Thomon. Now they are heavily damaged.
Behind the gates on a small outdoor Playground with a pavilion in the classical style. Built in the form of a Roman temple dedicated to adimaly, without decoration, with the exception of the entablature. Only from the side of the main facade of the building cuts a semicircular niche, decorated 2 umya columns and pilasters that support an entablature. Behind it rises the arch of the niche, processed caissons with stucco rosettes of gypsum. In the middle of the arch – moulded socket and sink separated from the caissons stucco with a garland of Laurel leaves.
Walls are made of bricks, plastered and painted with yellow paint. Columns and pilasters are composed of Olonets marble light pink color and small caps – white.
Paul presents plates of Pudost stone. 3 integral steps of stone lead to edicola. Originally the pavilion was not sculpture. Opposite the door was a marble plaque in black with a dedication to his late sister Friederike, and on the sides in small niches were installed antique vases-palafrenieri. After the death of the parents of the Empress Maria Feodorovna interior decoration of the pavilion has changed.
In the early NINETEENTH century in the pavilion was a sculptural composition by I. P. Martos, laid niches, new commemorative plaques with the names of 3 of the dead relatives of the Empress. In the pits were placed 2 Board of grey marble with inscriptions overlaid letters copper: "my Sister Elizabeth the 7th of February, 1790.
