Early Christian burials in the city of pécs in southern Pannonia in Hungary are proof of the presence on the territory of the Christian communities in the fourth century. Until today, until we reached the mausoleum and the remains of a chapel on the cemetery, which are a unique heritage of early Christian communities. This is one of the most important necropolis outside Italy. The attraction is included in the world heritage list of UNESCO in 2000.

The burial chamber is located on two levels. Frescoes with images of saints Peter and Paul, was found in the masonry, have no analogues in Central Europe. Special value has detected an old fresco, executed according to early Christian canons, with the image of the Madonna. As the building continued to be used, without changing its architecture to the end of the sixteenth century, it is possible to preserve it in its original form to our times for 1200 years.
