A few kilometers from skanovo Holy Trinity monastery (in the North-Eastern side) at the foot of mount Plotskoi (formerly a Town) is a three-level cave complex with a therapeutic source of the Kiev-Pechersk miracle workers – Theodosius and Anthony. The founder of the cave monastery was Arseniy II, retired to an underground cell in 1826. From 1866 to 1880 on top of the mountain several monks-hermits, join Arseny, was built a stone Church and a chapel at the entrance to the cave. In the beginning of the century the main entrance to the cave monastery was laid ornament, walls and vaulted ceilings whitewashed, in the niches by each cell were burning candles, lighting up the passage, stretching over 2, 5 km Deep underground, at the lowest level of the cave (according to the legends there were seven of them) beat a spring with clean water.
In the thirties the Church and the chapel destroyed, and the cave eventually dismantled brick by brick on the needs of the local sovkhoz workers, which formed the rubble of the lower tiers. Currently the underground facilities consist of mazes of caves and cells, with a length of over 600 metres on three levels. The height of the main connecting corridors - about two meters.
Over the past decade were under reconstruction and strengthening work of some parts of the cave, but, in fact, a unique historical object that exceeds the length of underground facilities the famous caves of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, remains to be fully explored.
From the main entrance to the cave stretches up the long staircase to the top of the mountain, where they used to lift to Church, now offering up breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. To visit the cave monastery as groups with local novice, and independently.
