Baroque castle Crimea with an Empire facade is located in the former village which is now a part of Pilsen. To get to this Palace, you need to go to the road that connects the city of plzeĆ with Cheb and in the suburb Crimea to turn to a small street. It will lead you to a cozy area, the dominant of which is a castle turned into a Museum. To lock Crimea adjoins a Park of 5 hectares, which is open to the public.
The peculiarity of the local castle is the fact that it was never sold. It many times gave, passed by inheritance was confiscated, but not once did he acted in the transaction of sale and purchase.
Around the castle on the square you can see a small single-storey ancillary buildings that form a courtyard and are part of the castle complex. The courtyard can be accessed through a portal, decorated with two stone pillars, which is crowned with the sculpture, made in the XVIII century. Similar statues can be seen in the Park and on the streets of the former village Crimea. They were created by local sculptor L. Widmann.
The castle was rebuilt in 1732 from the fortress first half of the XIII century, which belonged to Drslavice. Lord Strba felt that the castle, lack of comfort, so I repeated the grim fortress into a residential mansion in Baroque style.
During the reconstruction years 1811-1812 local Palace complex was expanded. The last owners of the castle were the members of a powerful family of Lobkowicz. They lost the castle Crimea in 1948.
In the second half of the XX century the castle belonged to the company "Skoda", which is staged in the historic interiors of the Guesthouse. Because of the barbaric actions of vacationers antique furniture and many works of art have been ruined. Then here there was a branch of the West-Bohemian Museum.
In 1994 the castle was returned to the Lobkowicz family.
