Until 1892 the local staff of the Regional court was located on the first floor of the Pilsen city Hall. When the place was not enough, they appealed to the Supreme court of Prague, where it was decided to build a new roomy building that would be located in the city center. For its construction was the selected area in the North-West of the historic part of Pilsen. It was restricted to the streets Sedlackova, Veleslavin, Dominican and Takarajima gardens, which were also called gardens of the Fifth of April. In this part of town survived the so-called Black Dominican monastery on the territory of which worked for the hospital of St. Mary Magdalene, and the remains of walls with semicircular bastions.

In such a historic place and it was decided to erect a building that everyone would be kind personified justice. In 1900 the construction of the Regional court was started. Already in 1902 the local construction company "Miller and CAPSA" handed over ready for commissioning. The Grand opening of the Regional court of Pilsen was held on November 10, 1902.

Public opinion appeared in the historic Pilsen Palace of justice was divided. Part of the people did not approve of the interference in the existing architectural ensemble of the city, other people, especially architects, praised the resulting structure and considered his significant contribution to the development of Pilsen.

After 50 years of active use of the building, the local staff was faced with the same problems that led to the construction of this house. Classrooms for the expanding staff of the Regional court was deficient. Because in the back of this building housed the chamber where the prisoners, it was decided to turn them into additional offices and prisoners to transfer to a regular prison. In 1969, in addition to the Regional court, it housed city and regional Prosecutor's offices and courts in several districts of Pilsen. To dedicate your own home only managed to 1994. And now the Palace of justice, which is considered a cultural monument of the Czech state, is available to employees only Regional court.
