Sweet historical landmark Saratov near Children's Park began its existence since the late nineteenth century, when the factory Miller brothers began to produce such a rare sweets: chocolate, different kinds of candies, candied fruit, caramel, marmalade, almond oil and other confectionery products.

The founders of the chocolate factory, the Miller family is one of the oldest genera of German colonists in the Volga region. The founder was Henry Miller who established the transportation of salt from the lake Elton in the colony Warenburg, thus laying the foundations of family welfare. Worthy descendants preserved and multiplied the capital, and founded the trading house "A. K. Miller with sons" (then "sons" was renamed brothers). The millers owned a house, supname grain barns and mills in the villages Smooth, glamorous and in Pokrovskaya Sloboda (now the city of Engels) Saratov province.

Purchased domestic place at Astrakhan great-grandchildren Miller Johann and Andreas in 1899 the bourgeois D. F. Naumov was intended for production of the factory.
