Archbishop Vvedensky convent was founded in 1360 Moscow Metropolitan St. Alexis in honor of the lady as the virgin monastery. The monastery was completely rebuilt in the late sixteenth century by Tsar Boris Godunov, but in the eighteenth century fell into disrepair. In 1806, the monastery was transformed into a female, and in the 20-ies of XX century was abolished.

Vvedensky Cathedral of the monastery combines in its architecture the severe simplicity of the XVI century with decorative next century. One of the most interesting buildings of the monastery refectory complex, which includes the refectory, trestle St George Church and the bell tower. The Holy gate with the gate Church Theodotia Ancyra, built in 1599, were later rebuilt and consecrated in honor of the miraculous image of the Savior. Also preserved two-storey residential building, built in the XVI-XVII centuries and the nursing corps of the nineteenth century.

The monastery is surrounded by walls with a corner three-tier towers, eye-catching bright decoration.
