Miedzygorze is a village located in Lower Silesia in the East Sudetes at the height of 570-670 meters above sea level. Currently Miedzygorze home to about 700 residents. Since the nineteenth century, it is a popular tourist resort.

The village was founded around 1580 in the Royal forest. Initially, Miedzygorze belonged to the Czech chamber of Commerce. After the Silesian wars in 1763, the village and the surrounding lands became part of Prussia.

In the nineteenth century with Marianne von Nassau-orange village began to develop. Here began the construction of a therapeutic recreation areas, hotels, villas and guest houses. Has been greatly improved infrastructure, appeared walkways, recreation areas. Soon Miedzygorze became a popular summer and winter resort. After the end of the Second world war the German population was expelled, the village became part of Poland and Silesia.

Currently Menjugate around 30 rest homes, 2 lifts. From here climb the massif of Śnieżnik, where the pilgrimage Church of our lady of 1781 and the statue of our lady of the snows, consecrated by Pope John Paul II in 1983.

The resort has retained a large number of wooden and stone buildings in Tyrolean style. The big advantage of terrain is a huge number of tourist routes, as well as several famous attractions: the falls, the dam, the chapel of our lady of the snows. The most interesting Tyrolean buildings can be considered boarding houses "Giant" and "Giant-2", and the post office building, now converted into a luxury Guesthouse. In 1965 in Miedzygorze was shot the first episode of "Four tankmen and a dog".
