Granite obelisks were removed, and in their place installed lampposts made of cast iron, made by the sketch of engineer A. Gotman.

When in 1904-1907, work began on laying the tram lines on Nevsky Prospekt, it became necessary again to increase the width of the bridge. The project of this reconstruction was designed by architect L. A. Ilyin. On the sides of the bridge were installed 10 rows of box-shaped arches and extended support. The facade is decorated with an ornament with gilt details. Lampposts were replaced with more durable and practical – iron. The project was carried out by engineers A. L. Mills, V. A. bers, A. P. Pszenicy.

In 1938, under the tramway was laid roofing material, road and sidewalks are paved. In 1962-1967, it underwent restoration of chandeliers and lanterns on the bridge.

Green bridge is located at the intersection of the historical routes of the city.
