Construction in psevdoromanskom manner – the Church of St. Catherine is located on Malaya Konyushennaya ul., building 1, on the corner of the Swedish alley. In Saint Catherine's Church is the Evangelical Lutheran congregation ELCROS (old abbreviation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Russia and other countries). Organized community was in the 17th century, in 1640 in Nienschanz (Swedish fortress, which was the main fortification of the town Nyen). St Catherine's Church originally belonged to the Swedish Church. Parish lasted until 1934 and was closed during the period of religious persecution. In the early 1990-ies the divine services in the Church were again continued. At the disposal of the parish, the Church building was returned in 2005.
