Monument to General A. P. Yermolov is located in the city of Stavropol on the Avenue of Karl Marx. This monument, which was designed by the famous Stavropol sculptor N. F. Sanzharova, was established in 1998
The bust of the General was cast at the foundry in the city of Minsk, and maroon granite pedestal is made in the suburbs. Dynamics and impressiveness of this composition gives the bronze and refined luxury - colors of granite, from which the pedestal.

A. P. Ermolov was born in 1777 In 1818, was a General of infantry, and from 1837 - General of artillery. In 1805 – 1807 Ermolov participated in the war with France. From 1816 to 1827 Ermolov was the commander of the Separate Caucasus corps and commander-in-chief in Georgia in the period of the Caucasian war. In 1827 A. P. Yermolov dismissed for the patronage of the Decembrists.
In the history of the Caucasian region, A. P. Ermolov came in as a warrior, the wisest politician and reformer. Freeing the Caucasus from the slave trade, he tamed the discord between the local princes, contributed to the development of many cities, initiated the formation of Officers ' meetings, and after – the Nobility and the Public.
Especially important is the role of the A. P. Yermolov in the history of Stavropol. As when the Empress Catherine II contributed to the basis of the Stavropol from the fortress, and A. P. Ermolov subsequently made from the County town, the capital of the greater Caucasus region.
