Victory Park in Stavropol is one of the main attractions of this region, located in the Industrial area of the city. The Park was created on the basis of roundwood Stavropol forestry. Originally forest covered an area of approximately 246 ha. In 1973 the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic handed over 215 hectares of forest in the land Fund of the city for the construction of the Park of rest and culture.

The project of construction of the Park was drawn up in 1975, and in 1979-1980 held the first place of its construction. The Park was named in honor of the 35 years anniversary of Victory over fascism.

Originally, this green area of Stavropol was almost unfrequented, because it was located on the outskirts of the city.
