Mürzzuschlag is a city in North-Eastern Styria, the capital of the eponymous district. Situated on the river Murc near the Semmering pass in 85 kilometers South-West from Vienna. Initially, this Name was just an industrial area, but today it is popular due to the nearby ski resort, and he himself becomes a great place for leisure activities in the cold season.

Settlement in the Duchy of Styria was registered for the first time in 1227, when Ulrich von Liechtenstein in his poem mentioned "murzuslage", which went all the way from Venice to Vienna.
