Bad Aussee is a Spa town in the Austrian state of Styria, located at the confluence of three sources of the river Traun. Bad Aussee is the economic and cultural centre of Styria, and is considered the geographical center of Austria.

The city began to flourish in the middle ages, when there began the production of salt.
