The Sydney tower is one of the tallest buildings in the world: the highest in Sydney and the second tallest in Australia and in the southern hemisphere. Height built in 1975-1981, the tower is 305 meters. Inside there is a main viewpoint of the city, and it is located 50 meters higher than the observation deck of the tallest in the southern hemisphere skyscraper Sky Tower in Auckland new Zealand. To climb it, go to one of the three elevators (40 seconds! ) or the stairs, breaking step 1504. But after this ascent will be possible from the height of 260 meters to admire not only the panorama of Sydney, but also to see on the horizon the Blue Mountains.
Here is a small souvenir shop and a scoreboard that displays the status of the tower, wind speed and atmospheric pressure. 18 meters above there is an outdoor area with a glass bottom Skywalk platform, in the framework of a special tour. And under the observation deck is a restaurant for 220 people. This is one of the most popular venues in Sydney – annually over 185 thousand people, many of whom are tourists.
During the Christmas and new year holidays, the tower is illuminated with colored lights, and sometimes from the top fireworks.
