The Pushkin embankment in Taganrog is one of the most picturesque places in the city. She has on a part of the natural shoreline, which is adjacent to the North-East to the harbour, between the exchange launch and yacht club. The promenade was named after the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, who was passing in Taganrog in June 1820, On the plan of the city, composed in 1808, Pushkinskaya embankment marked as Eastern promenade, although this time the embankment had not even existed.
In 1827, the first work began on the waterfront. In 1986 it was decorated with the monument to A. S. Pushkin. To the 300 anniversary of the city of Taganrog in the waterfront district was drastically changed.
