Trakai 8200 Park covers hectares and shakes its extraordinary beauty. Structurally, the Park is divided into several parts: the ornithological reserve, three hydrographic, two protected areas (the settlement in old Trakai and Trakai island castle) and the reserve under the Town. In the Park you can see dozens of objects that are monuments of nature and history. This Park like no one else can tell you the history of Lithuania in ancient times. Of course, first of all, this is possible thanks to the old buildings (about 50) that are in the Park. Harmoniously combining the past, present and future national Park in Lithuania started in 1991.

In the center of the Park stands the city of Trakai, he is 27 kilometres from Vilnius. The city is surrounded on all sides by lakes and has an extraordinary atmosphere created by local landscapes. In Trakai constantly ongoing archaeological excavations and found more than a thousand artifacts, and plans to open more values. In the city there are many monuments of Eastern culture such as the Karaites, among them the mission house of Karimov.

Around Trakai is created in the 14th century, the system of locks, the most popular of these is "Peninsula castle", located on the island between two lakes Onions and Galve. It was built in the 14th century by Grand Duke Kęstutis, after serving owners to 1655. We, unfortunately, got only ruins from the castle, not far away you can find the ruins of the Dominican monastery.

Lake Galve one of the most unique, it is about 20 Islands, one of which is built Trakai island castle, unique in Central Europe. Most of the Park is covered with forests, along lakes and beautiful architecture of Trakai in the Park you can enjoy walks in the woods. The Park is surrounded by several diverse forests, the oldest of them the forest Varnika. Its uniqueness and beauty will amaze Park Usetrace, located on 50 ha. One of the main attractions of the Park is the Palace of Outraces with a Park in the French style. This Palace was in the possession of the Tyszkiewicz family until 1939, and it was built in 1990, on the Southeast shore of the lake Glavie.
