On top of the highest Udaipur Aravalli hill that is over the Pichola lake, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city and lake, located white the monsoon Palace, also known as the Palace Sajjan Garh. Its history began in 1884, when were ruled by Maharaja Sajjan Singh, famous for its progressive views. It was under this ruler built the roads, the city turned green, and the water supply system.
Not surprisingly, the Palace, the planned Sajjan Singh, was to be comfortable and modern. But, unfortunately, the Maharaja died before the castle was built. The completed construction was under his successor Fateh Singh, though not all the ideas of the ruler of Sajan were implemented. Built at an altitude of 944 meters, the Palace served as the perfect place for watching the clouds during the rains (hence the name), as well as for recreation in the hunting season.
The Palace is a winding road across the mountain, which rests in a massive gate in the wall surrounding the Palace complex, and its strong bastions were good protection for Sajan of Garha.
The monsoon is built entirely of white marble and represents a large and magnificent castle with many rooms and halls. Turrets, neat dome, carved borders and delicate arches adorn the strict lines of the building. Standing on the top of the mountain, the Palace looks beautiful when the light turns on. And the area around the castle since 1987, received the status of a protected zone, which is called Sujangarh.
Among tourists, this place is very popular during the period when the monsoons blow. It was then revealed the beauty of a magnificent Palace, monsoon.
